Welcome, we are the Mann family.

First we would  like to thank our friends who encouraged us to process and market some of the salmon we catch while fishing in Kodiak Alaska. Every year, for a very long time, I have sent frozen salmon home for my families personal consumption.  We have barbecued, baked, sautéed, and smoked this fish and, incidentally, shared it with our closest friends.  One day, one of our friends said, "Dave, this is some of the best salmon we have ever eaten, you should sell this fish yourself".  I talked to the company we fish for in Kodiak AK and asked them if they would be willing to handle some fish for us which we would process at sea.  They said yes, which is incredible considering that at the height of the salmon returns 450 thousand pounds or more of salmon go through their plant every day.  We would like to gratefully acknowledge the management and staff at Alaska Pacific Seafoods for encouraging and helping us along the way.

As long as I’m busy talking, I’d like to "Weigh In" with regard to farmed salmon.  This is my opinion.  It is based on my experience with farmed salmon.  I have tried it and I will never buy it again, nor will I sell it.  To learn why follow any link, they pretty much explain it all...  Sierra Club ...
